Is there a culture and tourism tax?

The city of Hamburg levies the Hamburg Culture and Tourism Tax (KTT) for all overnight stays, whether private or business. This is charged in addition to the accommodation price and is calculated in a (unfortunately somewhat complicated) step-by-step procedure. Overnight price per day (excluding VAT) / number of persons in the room: € 1.07 KTT up to € 50.00; € 2.14 KTT up to € 100.00; € 3.21 KTT up to € 150.00; € 4.28 KTT up to € 200.00. For two persons in a double room and an overnight price of EUR 130.00, the KTT per day is € 2.14 in total. For one person in a double room and EUR accommodation price, the KTT per day is € 3.21. Detailed information and further links to the official information pages of the City of Hamburg can be found on our Culture and Tourism Tax page.

Are pets allowed in the hotel?

Unfortunately, pets are not permitted in our hotel and restaurant. Guide dogs and assistance dogs are of course exempt from this restriction

What bus and train connections (local public transport) are available?

Every destination in and around Hamburg can be reached directly from the hotel via the HVV (Hamburger Verkehrsverbund/ÖPNV). The bus stop “Lohbrügger Weg” of the bus line 234 is located 50 meters from the hotel. Alternatively, the bus stop “Binnenfeldredder” of the bus lines 12, 136, 137 and night bus lines 609 and 649 is located 200 meters from the hotel. During the day, almost all lines are available every 10 minutes and at night every 30 minutes. To cover longer distances in Hamburg quickly, it is worth changing to the S-Bahn/U-Bahn. The closest station to the hotel is “Bergedorf” with lines S2 and S21.
